Homemade Pancakes
These pancakes are so much better than “just add water” boxed mix. It is definitely worth the little extra time. They are slightly sweet with a hint of cinnamon, and they don’t even need syrup (I still use syrup sometimes because you know, syrup…)
You can also lighten these up with using only 1 or 2 tablespoons of butter.
Homemade Pancakes
Light, fluffy pancakes with a hint of cinnamon are delicious even without syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoon salted butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat griddle or pan to 375 degrees.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Pour milk then butter into flour mixture. Stir briefly.
- Add egg and mix thoroughly.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter on griddle/pan. Cook until bubbles begin to pop on top, about 2 minutes.
- Flip and continue to cook another 2 minutes until golden brown.
